Sport Fishing

Quepos is constantly ranked as one of the world’s top places to fish by leading sport fishing magazines. In shore angling requires only a short run to the fishing grounds and offers great views of the coast. Expect Roosterfish, Dorado (Mahi-mahi), Jack Crevalle, Snapper and Mackerel. The offshore reefs will provide Amberjack, Snapper, Tuna, Black/Blue Marlin and SailFish.

Manuel Antonio National Park

Enjoy an expedition of the world famous Manuel Antonio National Park with a highly trained, well-educated Costa Rica naturalist guide. You will explore the Park looking for exotic wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, birds, reptiles and butterflies. Please note that the Park is open daily from 7am - 4pm and is closed on Monday.

Surfing

Surf lessons in Manuel Antonio are fun and fully customized to your skill level and goals. Before getting into the water the instructor will give a safety talk and demonstrate the first steps of surfing. The instructors guarantee you will be up and riding the waves quickly!

Horseback Riding

Tours are available on the beach and also in the jungle or a combination of both. Each guest is matched with a horse depending on their ability. Wildlife sightings are common and include monkeys, coatis, peccaries, macaws and toucans.

ATV Off Road

Take an all-terrain vehicle up into the mountains where the tour begins. The tour goes in lush rainforest, through streams and along rivers. There is a stop to hike to a waterfall with a natural swimming hole. After cooling off, the tour continues on the ATV for another exciting ride through the jungle and ends with a “tico style” lunch.

Jungle Night Tour

Studies indicate that the largest percentage of all animals of most groups are active mostly or exclusively at night. Once the sun sets in the rainforest the hike begins. Often sighted are tree frogs, snakes, colorful insects, mammals and other rainforest creatures that only come out at night.

The Nauyaca Waterfalls are one of the many tours available for the enjoyment of the entire family. Options to visit the Waterfalls include hiking, horseback riding and riding in a 4x4 vehicle.

Jet Ski

Enjoy a unique excursion on wave runners to see the sights around Manuel Antonio National park. You will get to cruise along the coast of Manuel Antonio and stop to snorkel. You may get to see tropical fish and dolphins.

Catamaran Tour

Sail the coast of Manuel Antonio and see the white sand beaches and tropical rain forest from the spacious boat. If you are lucky you will see dolphins and whales along the way. A swim and snorkeling break offers the chance to see beautiful reef fish while enjoying the warm Pacific water.

Canyoning and Rappelling

Rappelling tours are a fun and exciting way to experience some of Costa Rica’s most magnificent landscapes. The sport, also known as canyoning, involves a controlled descent down a rock face using a secured rope. Oftentimes this descent is withing boundaries of a waterfall making it a memorable activity that even the most advanced thrill-seekers will enjoy. Professionally trained Canyoneers manage the tours so no experience is necessary.

Scuba Diving

See the beauty of the Costa Rican underwater world. Quality, safe and fun, PADI dive courses and scuba diving trips around the Manuel Antonio National Park are available. There is an abundance and wide variety of marine life on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Schools of Snapper, Jacks and Grunts cruise by. You can get up close and personal on the reef with Angel Fish, Moorish Idols, Surgeon Fish, Giant Damsel Fish, an array of Puffer Fish, Scrawled File Fish, Octopus, a variety of Eels and Crustaceans. Plus Reef Sharks, Rays, Sea Turtles, Pan Tropical Dolphins and in season the majestic Humpback whales and Manta rays (Dec - April).

Local half day trips in Manuel Antonio and full day trips to Isla del Cano are offered

White Water Rafting

Daily departures to the two major whitewater rapid sections and rivers near Manuel Antonio. The Savegre River and the Naranjo River. Both provide a trip of lush vegetation and gorgeous scenery. Class II to class IV whitewater rapids depending on river and the season.

Vanilla Spice Tour

The plantation includes 27 acres of agriculture production and 125 acres of primary and secondary forest. You will visit the post-harvest warehouse and then continue with a gentle walk through the plantation. You will experience the sights, tastes and aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, pepper and other tropical spices, essential oil plants and a wide variety of tropical ornamental plants. The focus of the farm is sustainability and they have been certified as an organic farm since 1992.
