What are the rates?

Our regular rates are $138 - per person per night (based on a minimum of 16 people for 5 nights.) This means our nightly rate is $2.198 total (based on 16 people) with a total cost of $10,990 (based on 16 people for 5 nights.) During Peak Season, our nightly rate is $3.499,- with a 7-night minimum. Peak Season includes November 19-27, 2022, and December 20th, 2022 till January 7th, 2023. How many people can stay at the villa?
Villa Costa Vida is spacious enough to accommodate up to 34 people and host events for up to 75 people―and as of 2023, the main Villa together with the new Villa Tower will sleep up to 57 guests. Villa Costa Vida is perfect for large groups and special occasions including family reunions, corporate retreats, workations, yoga retreats, and weddings.

Do all rooms have their own bathroom?
Rooms 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8 all have en suite bathrooms. Room 5 has a dedicated bathroom, but it's outside of the room down the hall five feet away. Rooms 9 and 10 and the bunk beds share a large bathroom area with 2 showers, 2 toilets, and 4 sinks.
Is the villa handicap accessible?
Yes! The new Villa Tower has an elevator that offers access from the parking area to go up to level 5 (kitchen/dining level) and level 6 (top floor reception/meeting/social area with stunning views) of the main Villa and to all floors of the Villa Tower, which includes a fully accessible handicap room on the 3d floor.
Will we share the villa with other guests?
No, Villa Costa Vida (the main Villa)  is a private villa for you and your guests only. During your stay with us, you don’t share the villa with any other parties. However, the Villa Tower can be rented together with the main Villa or it may be rented out to individual parties as a separate entity from the villa. If that’s the case, there will be no shared spaces and the main Villa remains private.
Will we share the villa with staff members?
The villa is for your exclusive use and there and no staff will be staying at the villa during your stay. Daily housekeeping service is included (Mondays-Saturday from 8:00 AM till 4:00 PM), plus, we offer a 24/7 concierge service for your convenience.

Where is Villa Costa Vida located?
Villa Costa Vida sits high above the Manuel Antonio National Park, offering breathtaking views of both the Pacific Ocean and the rainforest. Manuel Antonio is a 2.5-3 hour drive from the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) or a quick 20-minute flight.

How far is the villa from the beach?
Villa Costa Vida is located within walking distance of the beach (though a 4x4 car makes the trek more accessible), as well as supermarkets, stores, and restaurants. At the main beach, you will find a wide variety of water fun including jet skis, parasailing, and banana boat rides.

Can you help us schedule tours and make reservations?
Absolutely! When staying at Villa Costa Vida, we will happily share recommendations, make restaurant and spa reservations, and schedule transportation, tours, and excursions for you. Upon request, we can also arrange for private chefs, bartenders, and yoga and fitness instructors (for an additional fee.)

Is it possible to host corporate retreats at Villa Costa Vida?
Yes, the villa is equipped with all modern amenities for your corporate gatherings (incl. a modern conference room with audio-visual equipment, tables and chairs, AC, and catering services.) We can help with transportation logistics and team-building experiences. The villa sleeps up to 34 guests, and as of January 2023, up to 60 guests. Is it possible to get married at Villa Costa Vida?
Yes, Villa Costa Vida offers a spacious yet intimate location for weddings, vow renewals, recital dinners, and other events. Please see our Wedding page for more details or contact Rayna at villacostavida@gmail.com.  

Is it possible to host yoga retreats at Villa Costa Vida?
Yes, Villa Costa Vida is a perfect place for a yoga retreat (and other types of retreats!) We offer spacious common areas (indoors and outdoors) with shade and stunning ocean views, and air-conditioned bedrooms with locks, guaranteeing privacy for all.

Can you flush the toilet paper?
Yes, thank goodness. Just not huge wads at one time, please!

Are their hairdryers available?
Yes, we have 3 hairdryers available for guests to use.

Do you provide beach towels? Pool towels?
Yes, and yes. Please do not take them on tours though!

Is the electricity/outlet the same as in the USA? Do I need converters?
Yes, it's the same as in the USA (120V.) No converters are necessary. Our plugs are grounded (3-prong.)

Is housekeeping and laundry service included?
Yes, daily housekeeping is included (Monday-Saturday) with your stay as well as laundry service (as much as we can do daily.) There is a washer/dryer available for guests to use on the 4th floor along with laundry detergent.
